Jalal-Abad State University was founded in 1993 and is a public institution designed to provide higher education in following fields: Medical, Engineering electronics; energy; construction; education; agro-industrial complex etc.

Jalal-Abad State University, Faculty of medicine is located at the centre of Jalalabad city, Faculty of Medicine is taught in the Main Building as well as a separate building is dedicated to the medical faculty, named as ATF building
